Reasonable Use Policy for Unlimited Services

This Reasonable Use Policy (“Policy”) governs the use of any Unlimited Service plans offered by Talkroute, Inc. (“Talkroute,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This Policy is incorporated by reference into our Terms of Service and applies to all customers subscribed to plans advertised or understood to include “unlimited” usage.

1. Purpose of Policy
Talkroute provides a bundled Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) platform that includes voice calling, call routing, voicemail, messaging (SMS/MMS), video and audio meetings, and administrative tools. Our Unlimited Service plans are designed to support the typical day-to-day communication needs of small businesses—not high-volume, automated, or enterprise-scale usage.

This Policy ensures fair access to system resources and protects overall platform performance for all users.

2. Prohibited or Excessive Use
You agree not to use Talkroute’s Unlimited Services in any way that:

Voice & Call Routing

  • Involves trunking, forwarding, or routing calls to/from PBX systems, conference bridges, or auto-dialers capable of handling multiple simultaneous calls;

  • Uses always-on lines (e.g., intercoms, monitoring devices, or passive audio channels);

  • Replaces contact centers, dispatch lines, or other high-volume calling systems.

  • Includes call blasting or broadcasting to multiple numbers simultaneously;

  • Generates artificial or excessive call volume through autodialers or dialing patterns inconsistent with normal small business behavior;

  • Operates in a call aggregation or wholesale call termination capacity.

Messaging (SMS/MMS)

  • Sends high-volume, unsolicited, or automated messages without prior consent;

  • Circumvents 10DLC or other carrier compliance protocols;

  • Uses Talkroute SMS/MMS for campaign-level distribution or non-human interactions (bots);

  • Delivers mass text alerts, short code-style notifications, or appointment reminders at a scale inconsistent with small business operations;

  • Generates artificial or excessive call volume through autodialers or dialing patterns inconsistent with normal small business behavior;

  • Attempts to bypass message throttling or daily sending limits.

Voicemail & Data Use

  • Delivers voicemail blasts or mass voicemail drops;

  • Stores a disproportionate volume of voicemails, recordings, or media attachments unrelated to active business communications;

  • Uses voicemail as a repository for automated or forwarded messages from bulk sources;

  • Creates excessive retention of call recordings or messages without active engagement on the platform.

Video & Audio Meetings

  • Runs video or audio meetings continuously or uses them as monitoring channels or public broadcasts;

  • Supports more simultaneous participants or concurrent meetings than a typical small business would reasonably require;

  • Uses the platform to host large-scale webinars, events, or public-access video sessions outside normal business usage;

  • Embeds or re-streams video meetings to external websites or social platforms;

  • Schedules recurring unattended meetings solely for surveillance or content distribution.

3. Enforcement
If Talkroute determines your use violates this Policy, we may, with prior notice and at our discretion:

  • Throttle or restrict concurrent sessions, participant counts, call durations, or message volumes;

  • Transition your account to a metered or custom usage-based plan;

  • Suspend or terminate access to some or all services;

  • Apply other usage or compliance controls to protect platform reliability.

4. Policy Changes
Talkroute may update this Policy at any time. The effective date will reflect the most recent revision, and we may notify you of changes through the control panel, email, or other reasonable means.
